Alison Kurtz, President

Alison graduated from Penn State University in 1991 with B.S. in Business Administration. Since joining Ameron Construction in May 1991, she has become responsible for all financial aspects of the business, including overseeing the accounting department and ESOP trust. Alison also serves as the in-house computer network administrator. Appointed President in January 2000.

Steven C. Balkey, P.E., V.P. Engineering & Project Development

Steve graduated from Penn State in 1988 with B.S. in Civil Engineering. Currently registered as a Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. Previously worked for Paciulli, Simmons & Associates in Fairfax, VA and as Project Manager with PennTerra Engineering, Inc. from 1989 to 1994. He is experienced with consulting engineering of land development projects from conception through construction. Since joining Ameron in June 1994, he has taken on responsibilities including marketing & estimating, field engineering and project management.

Bret Greiner, Chief Operations Officer

Bret joined Ameron Construction July of 2015 as the new Superintendent.  Bret  has worked in all areas of construction from running equipment & driving truck to field supervision and holding a top management position. He is our main point of contact for scheduling jobs and workers.

Paul Hardy, V.P., Equipment/Fleet Maintenance & Quality Control

Paul originally joined Ameron Construction in 2010 and worked for here a few years.  After a brief time away, Paul rejoined the Ameron Team in 2015. In his position as Shop Operations Manager, he has the responsibility to maintain all equipment and fleet vehicles, order materials and supervise four mechanics . Prior to return to Ameron, Paul spent his time working as a technician at Cleveland Bros.

Thadd Richards, Field Superintendent

Thadd has worked at Ameron over 30 years, beginning as a pipe layer and equipment operator. Thadd has literally built infrastructure throughout every corner of our community.

Carl Beckwith, Field Superintendent

Carl joined Ameron in 2007. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience running multiple large scale projects.

Mark Brooks, Paving Superintendent

Mark joined Ameron Construction in January 2007. Mark oversees all paving estimating, production and scheduling, in addition to working with the paving crews.

Mark Matthews,  Concrete Superintendent

Former owner of Custom Concrete, Mark joined the Ameron team in 2017. With over 30 years concrete experience, Mark helped Ameron’s overall strategic plan to offer complete site development, including concrete curbing and flatwork.
